Kosovo Minister of Internal Affairs Agim Veliu has responded to his predecessors from VV to the minister, Jhelal Svecla, over the latter's charges of suspicious tenders at the MPB, which, according to claims, were being investigated by Tasktor Forces against corruption.
Veliu, in his response through a Facebook post, has spoken in very harsh language, saying that Svechla must be held accountable for entering the surveillance rooms and leaving open the safe where classified documents were found.
“Jalal Sfecla with friends, instead of being ashamed to leave Kosovo's citizens without license plates and other personal documents, is making desperate efforts, coupled with lies, in order to manipulate public opinion on the process. The man who during his stay in The MPB, it did no work but to give permission to move to his docks, instead of accounting for access to the surveillance rooms and the safe where the classified documents were found that left him open when he left, it takes time and no shame to appear in a show and to file charges for tender procedures, which have no connection with me”, he said.

He has denied that the procedures are three times more expensive.
“Emergency license funds are at cheaper prices, compared to the regular 2016 contract, so it is untrue that other procedures are three times the price of”, Veliu said.
“Internally, through the open procedure it initiated procurement activity “Funding with license plates” in 2018, a year in which I was not minister”, he added.
Veliu has said that in the end the same activity is in complaining procedure and, under legislation in power, the Contractive Authority cannot initiate two procurement activities on the same issue at the same time.
