Record growth has put hospitals on the verge of filling capacities, just four days before holding presidential elections, Reuters writes, broadcasting Express newspaper.
During the last ten days alone, the record of new cases was broken in the United States five times. The previous record was marked Thursday with 91.248 cases per 24 hours.
The new figure is simultaneously the highest record that a state has so far marked worldwide. The previous record of this kind was in India in September, when 97,894 cases had been recorded for 24 hours.
At least ten US states reported record figures of new cases. This state continues to remain the first in the world with the most infected and victims, and it seems that it will not move from this position for a considerable time, taking into account the current situation.
