Thaci: In EU, US I requested that dialogue have only one agenda, mutual recognition between the two countries

The country's president, Hashim Thaci, who is staying in the US, says it has received full support for Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration.

He says that American state officials discussed steps to be taken in moving ahead of our state.

I can say that after my visit to Brussels last week, I discussed with the European Union's special charge on the Kosovo dialogue issue- Serbia was an opportunity and was necessary and necessary to be in the United States as well as in this phase of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, but also our further steps for Euro-Atlantic integration to be in Washington, and I had the special satisfaction of co-operating with State Department officials and other US government officials about the steps Kosovo should currently take, but in the future,”, Thaci told RTV21.

“I can say freely that the US continues to strongly support Kosovo in domestic developments, in institutional stability, in the priorities we have as a state, and Kosovo will continue to remain the most loyal US ally in our region”, the country's first added.

Thaci says that in Brussels and the US demanded that dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia have only one agenda, the issue of mutual recognition between the two countries.

“Co-operation with the US is in the continuation of our strategic commitments, but what I have to stress is that even with officials in Brussels, but also in the US, I have clearly stressed that the Kosovo dialogue issue- Serbia has entered a new phase and should be only one point of the agenda, that of mutual recognition between the state of Kosovo and Serbia, and then other issues come. We need to continue this process starting with the head of the issue and not by the derby”, Thaci said.
