French President Emmanuel Macron has announced that it is set to have a second national impasse.
The move will last at least during November.
Macron said that beginning on Friday, people would be allowed to leave the house for basic or medical reasons. Not essential businesses, such as restaurants and bars, will be closed, but schools and factories will stay open.
On Tuesday, 33,000 new cases were confirmed with the new coronary causing COVID-19.
The daily death toll from the new coronary in France has been at the highest level since April.
The president said people would have to fill out a form to justify their departure from their homes, as required during the first isolation that was introduced in March in France.
