Tahiri: The coalition is stable, but at the post of president there will be another game

Tahiri, denies that on Thursday in Brussels under Kosovo- Serbia has been discussed establishing the Serbian Communist Association. It even says that this topic will never be opened, as it is the internal issue of Kosovo.

“We have a narrow majority, but functional majority. When it comes to the president, there's another game, another discussion. We have our candidate, we hope everyone will reflect because for the circumstances we are is the most competitive and the best person on this subject ... it is not work and giving up, or work and a principle, we have had a vote, we think that President Haradinaj would do a good job under these difficult” circumstances, he says of Kosova Prees.

He says that through provisions Serbia is trying to stall reaching the final agreement with Kosovo.

“Action as a topic is not open and will not be opened. It is Kosovo's duty and as such continues to be. It's the political programming vow guaranteed by the Parliament. If there is an overall agreement of mutual recognition, Kosovo will join itself, it is binding on itself, but not to discuss and negotiate. It's a matter that can't be negotiated, it's internal policy and it's wrong. What I want to tell Kosovo citizens that it is a permanent strategy of Serbia that, with the Haradinaj government, links to the tax are now linked to association. And the goal is very simple not to solve this problem, to come to Brussels and there to get its benefits. And Kosovo leaves me where it is without liberalisation, with nothing. As for the opposition's request for the resignation of Economy and Environment Minister Blerim Kuci, Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri says this demand is terrible, as there is no reason for the minister to resign.

Tahiri for Kosova Prees also spoke of adopting the budget at yesterday's government meeting, says the governing programme that included construction of the Dukagjin highway, not political markets, has been accommodated in the budget.

Despite having entered and built this highway, Tahiri says there is only one sum to begin the works, as at this time with the Devi 19 pandemic, there is no budget for comprehensive highway construction.

What I'm going to say about this budget is that it hasn't been an easy exercise because there's been a lot of budget hit with pandemic and lack of revenues. We have included in the budget, not the political discussions and shopping, but the government programme we've had. Our governing program has included the Dukagjin highway, which has a symbolic sum just to begin. Since we're in time of pandemic we have to be honest, we don't do highways unless we have budgets for basics. But as a program point, the Dukagjin highway is in budget”, he says.

Meanwhile, it says they have accommodated the demands of all mayors in the budget for next year, not only those from the ruling coalition parties.
