According to the Swiss Federal Public Health Office, cases COVID-19 have culminated in the last five days, reaching the highest level since the outbreak of pandemic.

The federal office reported that, over the last 24 hours, 15,229 suspected tests for COVID-19 have been conducted, at a rate of 9.8 percent of positive cases, the ATS reports.

Since the outbreak of pandemic, the number of people infected with coronarys in the country has reached 60 368, including 1793 deaths.

A total of 1,47 million suspected tests have been conducted in this country of about 8.5 million people.

Among those who proved positive in Geneva is Philippo Grandi, senior United Nations Commissioner (OKB) for Human Rights, who heads the UN Agency for Refugees.

Senior regional health official, Algae Tardin, said the deteriorating situation in Geneva is extremely disturbing.

Currently, 50 patients affected by the coronary are being treated at Geneva University Hospital (HUG).
