Switzerland forces wearing masks in closed public spaces

Putting a mask will be mandatory from Monday to closed public places throughout Switzerland, the federal government announced today.

The sharp rise in the number of infection cases in recent days is of concern”, the Federal Council said in a press release.

The measure is part of many others, as an effort to stem the disturbing rise of COVIDD-19 cases.

Apart from masks, more than 15 people in public spaces will be banned from spontaneous gatherings, and private events will have no more than 15 people, as well.

The government also recommended remote work.
