Spain became the first country in the European Union to register more than 900,000 coronary infections.
The Health Ministry in Madrid reported more than 11,000 new infections, increasing the number of cases recorded at 908,056 since the beginning of the epidemic. According to this criterion, Spain ranks seventh in the world.
After Spain, the most affected European country is France, with more than 750,000 registered infections, although the number of confirmed cases depends on the testing field, which differs from country to country.
According to official reports, more than 3,400 people died from coronary in Spain.
However, experts believe the number of deaths from the effects of infection is significantly higher due to insufficient testing in the first weeks of the epidemic.
