It has provided a concrete reason for how this issue can be adjusted.
A resident of an X municipality in Kosovo, working in Pristina, pays taxes, taxes and other obligations to the X municipality, where it is resident. The X municipality, its taxes turn into investments in the X municipality. Now, the streets this person frequents in Pristina to come/turn every day from work, the air that this person polluted, the noise and the column that this person causes, the municipality of Pristina would have to repair with taxes paid by another resident of Pristina. What is the contribution of the person from the X municipality to Pristina? So there's no contribution, and that's why it applies to this tarif”, Sokoli wrote.
She has added that this would be okay even if applied by other municipalities.
This normally becomes a topic of discussion about the case of Pristina as the capital, the main administrative area, etc. Because the same thing if it applied to other municipalities would be good. For example, I work in Mitrovica and go there with my car every day, and I'd be okay to pay the fee because with my car it caused damage to the streets of that city and polluted those residents' air”, Sokoli wrote.
She said that “Vesta/ K ERRI shouldn't be the reason for sacrificing our health and well-being”.
