Skopje-Blace highway completion expected to take place in 2022

Until 2022, construction of the highway will be completed in the rest of northern Macedonia connecting with Kosovo.
So said Infrastructure Minister Arban Abrashi, after meeting with Northern Macedonia Transport Minister Blagoj Bocvarski.
Minister Abrashi said the topic of discussion with his counterpart was construction of road infrastructure between Kosovo and Northern Macedonia.
The next meeting between the two highly priority governments, however, is the common border point between Kosovo and Northern Macedonia. This border point has had to influence that people and businesses who use this route will be much shorter than it currently is. Consequently, it will help businesses of both states for economic integration”, Abrashi said.
Northern Macedonia Transport Minister Blagoj Bocvarski, during his first visit to Kosovo, said the regional link is their goal, but also the European Union.
Minister Bocvarski expressed readiness for co-operation with Kosovo, as well as completion of the Skopje-Blace highway.
The completion of the highway is expected to take place in 2022 is a serious way of dealing with problems from Skopje to the border point with Kosovo. So we're waiting for the project to take place within three years. We discussed many current and concrete topics, I believe that during our government mandates we will make wider developments for our countries. The first goal for us and the EU is regional approach to economic development”, Bocvarski said.
Minister Abrashi at the end also said that with the Macedonian minister they have discussed topics related to the railway transport sector.
