The court in Serbia has continued Kosovo's detention measure, Nezir Mehmetaj, which was arrested by Serbian authorities in January this year.

He confirmed this for news.net, Nezir's brother Valon Mehmetaj.

Mehmetaj is also expected to appear at the court hearing, where he will be decided for his fate.

“contacted the lawyer, continued for 30 days' detention. We're waiting for me to go to court to decide. Lawyers have hope of being released in the hearing, but sure we are nothing. But while factorys are coming from Serbia we don't know what the final results can be. But expectations are positive because there is no evidence against him”, he said.

Otherwise, Nezir Mehmetaj has been arrested on 3 January this year at the Merdara border checkpoint and has since been in custody.

That day, he was headed for Nis with his mother for a medical visit. For three hours, Mehmetaj's family had waited in Merdara to receive information about Mehmetaj's ban but had not received the same.
