Risks of tension were recorded when police tried to find among protesters people who did not wear the mask in the right way.
Italy, which was the focus of the first wave of Coronavirus, has had an increase in new cases in the past week. Of the fewer than 2,000 cases a day, yesterday it scored 5,000.
Since the start of the pandemic, Italy has had 34,000 infections and 34,000 casualties.
