Pristina, since the beginning of the pandemic, is the city where mostly per capita testing has been conducted, and therefore the country where the country has mostly had positive cases with COVID 19.
It's also happening in recent weeks when scary numbers of COVID 19 infection come from Europe.
In just one week, 518 active cases with COVID 19 have been confirmed in the capital.
Seeing these figures, Pristina's first one, Shpend Ahmeti has warned that the country will enter crisis within a week.
“205 KS com 111 Pr. Macedonia at 600 a day and states of the new wave region. Considering our connection to these states of crisis awaits us for 7-10 days. Careful with the masks, please.
As 111 cases in Pristina have only been confirmed yesterday, a mid-center and local meeting will be held today to see if they will take new precautions to spread pandemic.
So has the director of health in the Pristina municipality, Bujar Gashi. He has said that today they will meet with Minister Armend Zemaj to assess whether the capital should be closed.
Gashi says the reason Pristina leads with the number of cases that are confirmed positive is also the number of tests being conducted every day.
“The figures have increased in recent weeks at the country level, not only in the capital. But all the time, we have seen Pristina move with the largest number. Bear in mind that in Pristina the number of tests conducted is always greater compared to other towns”, he says.
Gashi has stressed that about 1600 tests have been conducted in the last six days alone.
We've been waiting for the opening of schools. You see that many countries in Europe are completely closed. Practically what Europe has been following us from March or April is 2-3 weeks ahead of us. A greater increase of cases is expected after 2-3 weeks”, Gashi said.
The total number of positive cases so far in Kosovo has gone to 18 thousand and 148, from a total of 88 thousand and 90 samples tested since the start of the first Corleone cases.
So far, 15 thousand and 150 people have recovered, while there are 2,000 and 332 active cases.
