Three young people allegedly raped a 15-year-old in Gjilan

The case has been confirmed for our media by the Gjilan Foundation Attorney.

Prosecutor's spokeswoman, Liridona Xhedeeni, stated that the three suspects were arrested in question.

Two of those arrested belong to 19 and the other is only 17 years old. They are from the municipality of Mitrovica, Vushtrria and Drenas.

We announce that three (3) persons have been detained for this case on October 22, 2020, after allegedly committing criminal work. To suspects A. S. (2001), Q.P. (2001) and E.C. (2003) the prosecutor of the case, today, has requested the appointment of the detention measure, in the 30-day term, due to the suspicion based on a motel in Gjilan, the same have forced the minor, 15-year-old, to engage in sexual relations without its own will”, the responses of Xhedin said.

Otherwise, the violation is also punished with the Penal Code of the Republic of Kosovo. Based on Article 227 of the Penal Code, the sentence for this work is served by two to ten years in prison.

Whoever forces the other person to commit sexual acts without the consent of such a person is sentenced to prison terms of two (2) to ten (10) years”, says the Criminal Code.
