Hoxhaj said the Democratic Party of Kosovo will talk about electing the president when the time comes.
“Condition The PDK is concrete, Kosovo has its president, a dignified personality by the constitutional deadline. And we talk about the subject when the constitutional deadline comes. But Kosovo currently has president and it is not fair to talk and discuss it. It is not fair to talk about who will be president, at a time when the country's president is on duty”, Hoxhaj said in an interview for The telegraph.
According to Hoxhaj, political parties have the right to propose their candidates, but The PDK will speak when it comes to other political subjects in the country and see what is best for the country in this regard.
It's okay, I can propose AAK, but, nowhere in the world, except when there's a presidential race, where the president is elected directly, there's no question about the president's election 4-5 months ago. It is the right of political parties to propose their candidates and we talk about this topic only when the deadline comes, sit down with other political subjects, and see what is best for the country”, Hoxhaj said.
Hoxhaj said the discussion on the president's election issue views it as unserious, since by the end of the mandate is about five months.
