PDK: Official Arrested for Robbing 2m Euros Not Party Member

Through a media communique, The PDK says the person in question comes from a family that traditionally has been LDK supporters.

“The PDK explains that the official arrested in the Ministry of Finance is not and has never been part of the Democratic Party of Kosovo. On the contrary, the citizens of Drenas know very well that the avitorial comes from a family that traditionally have been LDK supporters in this municipality. Moreover, we invite the media to investigate this on their own outside PDK”, the communiqué says.

The Democratic Party of Kosovo, with concern, has received news of the theft of 2m euros from the State Treasury. The situation is even more serious when discharges have been made in three institutions that fight crime and oversee the state financial sector.

Several days ago, Prime Minister Hoti had arbitrarily dismissed the Police Director, the ATK director and Customs Director. It didn't take long where even the government without any warning has lifted the task of fighting natural crimes we're seeing in the State Treasury today.

The PDK seeks full institutional and political responsibility from Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami, as well as Prime Minister Hoti for this government economic crime.

To give space to independent investigations, and avoid political interference, The PDK wants Minister Bajram's resignation and invites justice bodies to investigate every individual involved in this government crime.

And so, The PDK explains that the official arrested in the Ministry of Finance is not and has never been part of the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
