Many citizens have decided to leave the city because there is fear of follow - up. This has brought heavy traffic, forcing the interior minister to react to social networks.
Soylu has asked Izmir citizens not to use personal vehicles after blocking roads.
Our request from our citizens in Izmir, please do not use your vehicles. We have all the means needed to come to help, our teams are on the ground.
What we need at this difficult time is the way. Please leave us alone to intervene”, the interior minister wrote. <
