The arrest of LDK deputy chairman Haki Rugova, who is once also head of Istog, has caused clashes at today's VV and LDK Assembly session.
It was Vetevendosje MP Mefail Bajqinovci, who started the debate accusing LDK leader Isa Mustafa of interfering in justice with his statements of arresting Rugova, writes news.
Such statements, he even said, are very dangerous. He even drew parallels between this situation and what was in the time of the former Yugoslavia.
In this context, he accused the LDK of what he called the capture of the state and criminal acts of some of its officials.
But the quick reaction was from Mustafa's party. The head of the Parliamentary Group, Arben Gashi, said Bajcinovci is speaking excited, angry, and political motives to win votes.
“Mu seems to be a little bit excited, but the institutions of justice are independent, so I think political instrumentisation is unreasonable. What we have to say is that rule of law has no alternative. We have to commit to this country to function, not a state of group violence promoted by tribal interests. Not the tendency to profit any vote by abusing free age with no ethics, with political affiliation without any rationale”, he said.
He said his party would always be in favour of rule of law.
We are here in the Kosovo Assembly, the people's elected to oversee institutions, to issue laws. The speaker had an unreasonable bitterness and resentment. Language matters, because as the people say, it's not, but it's broken. It must be used on the basis of an argument. I'm looking at the Prizren municipality that is having problems with rule of law, I want this to not be political battle. Anyone who violated the law will be given responsibility for itself”, he said.
The Assembly has already started with the work of the new session, and is currently at the point of statements outside the agenda. /
