Interior Minister Agim Veliu has not responded to the Commission's invitation for Security and Defence Affairs to report concerning the dismissal of former Kosovo Police Director Rashit Qalaj and the removal of Task-Force Anti-Corruption. And his presence by members of this commission was seen as irresponsible by Minister Veliu.
Unacceptable and ignoring not accepting an invitation for reporting by Minister Agim Veliut has considered this commission member from PDK ranks Ganimete Musliu. Musliu said it is only a challenge and without his responsibility to respond to issues raised by the commission.
Full responsibility because at least it has had to reason with an agenda what the minister has to do with coming and reporting before the highest body, such as the Parliamentary Commission or deputies of the Kosovo Assembly... I think that this government should stop arrogance because ultimately the police are Kosovo and not political parties, I don't want to deal with concrete names, but I have to deal with the institution that has unfortunately begun to deteriorate and unfortunately has begun to lose respect for Kosovo citizens... We don't need the minister to love us, but the minister just has to answer to the commission. If the minister, Agim Veliu, has not had to go with coffee to Haki Rugova in Istog, I don't know what else has come and report to the parliamentary commission”, Musliu said.
