Minister Zemaj shows how many tests have been conducted so far in private labs

He said that between 3,000 3,500 molecular tests of (PCR) were conducted in private labs, which is a small number compared to what was done in IKSHPK so far → 76,623.

But in private labs, serial tests continue to be carried out.

Over 21,000 serial tests have been conducted in private labs so far. We receive daily reports from the” labs, he said.

Zemaj added that lab work at the time of the pandemic is being inspected on regular grounds. He indicated that there were times when the work of a laboratory was suspended, but after meeting the conditions, he continued with his work.

Minister Zemaj indicated that 75 more inspectors will soon be added for better monitoring of the situation on the ground.

“Today I have activated a contest for 75 inspectors, all of this to preserve the situation that is favourable to the epidemiology”, he said.

According to Zemaj, Kosovo with the seasonal flu vaccine “is a month before” compared to a year earlier.

We have 160,000 vaccines. We're a month ahead. Usually given in December. The years have started on December 5th, and this year will start in November. We're in the process of buying another 200 grand”, he said.

He has indicated that with the increase of health staff throughout the country, work has been facilitated for the current health staff.

Zemaj has also said that institutions have taken care of oxygen supplies, stressing that they are spreading to all regions of the country. He said the next point of preparation for a new potential wave is also COVID-19 hospital, which “has completed the design procedures”.
