Hashim Thaci at the time in the position of Kosovo Prime Minister on October 19, 2012, has met for the first time with former Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic in Brussels.
The meeting between them was made with the mediation of the Catherine Ashton Baron, who was also at the meeting.
The meeting was held in order to continue the EU facilitated dialogue. All parties at the meeting have agreed and expressed commitment that dialogue on normalising relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia will continue.
According to the Government's announcement, the meeting between Prime Minister Thaci and Prime Minister Dacic with the mediation of the Ashton Baron is a new chapter for normalising relations between two sovereign states.
In this case, Prime Minister Thaci stressed that this process will definitely accelerate the integration of two states into the EU and will be in service of peace and stability in the region.
