The first of Social Democrat Initiative Fatmir Limaj has spoken about his many-year-old encounter with justice bodies.
Former Commander The KLA, accused of killing two Albanian civilians in October 1998 in the region under its command, was acquitted by The Hague tribunal in 2005.
I am one of the people I have at least tasted of Kosovo freedom. I've been wandering in courts for 14 years. I've had so many investigations and processes against me, I think I've started World War I and II”, Limaj said in Eye TV.
Limaj, had faced war crimes charges twice again.
In 2012 and 2013, twice in a row, Limaj was acquitted in two court processes.
In these court processes, Fatmir Limaj and nine of his associates were accused of committing crimes against Serb and Albanian civilians at a detention centre of the former Kosovo Liberation Army in the village of Klecka in the municipality of Malisheva.
The former deputy prime minister had faced yet another judicial process charged with corruption during the time he was Minister of Transport and Telecommunications in 2010, under the rule of then Prime Minister Hashim Thaci.
Even in this trial process, which lasted more than six years, Fatmir Limaj was acquitted.
