Lawyers request denied: Haradinaj's Gucati remain in custody

Nasaim Haradinaj's Hysni Gucati, must be held in custody.

The Special Prosecutor's Office at The Hague has that request.

These latter have responded to the OVL leaders' defence request, who have demanded that Hardinaj's Gucati not remain in custody.

The Prosecution Office's reasoning has been published on the Web site of Specialised Chambers.

Through this paper, they have presented evidence designed to bring down attorneys ' request for parole.

On at least three occasions, Gucati participated in unauthorized distribution of confidential and non-public information, including names, residential sites, and other details of potential witnesses. Mr. Gucati also publicly stated that he would continue to do so”

In these papers, it is also said that OVL-UCK's head, Hysni Gucati, had ignored the Court's order not to distribute any further, files allegedly derived from the Special Prosecutor's Office.

“The repeated distribution of confidential information continued even after the Gucati was served on a court order regarding previous findings, which specifically ordered him to refrain from distributing those materials, and warned him that he could cause criminal criminal offence”

As a fact to keep Hysni Gucati in custody, the prosecution is even using his statements.

He had said I would publish all the documents coming to the War Veterans' Office.

Besides this document, it is said that it was Hysni Gucati, who encouraged the media to make public the names of protected witnesses.

While Gucat's readiness will not be considered, hand over the passport.

This prosecutor has also rejected the evidence offered for Gucat's state of health, and has demanded that Haradinaj's Gucati be held in custody.

While warning, the indictment will be handed over to the tribunal within 30 days of the first session.
