The European Union's special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, during a media conference has said implementing the Association of Major Serb municipalities would come after the signing of the final agreement between the two countries.
The “Agreement has been reached in Brussels, but has not been implemented. It is also the opinion of the Constitutional Court, the court has said it must be implemented. The next step should be discussed. The association is part of the agreement in Brussels”, Lajcak said.
He also said that details should be discussed as part of the agreement negotiations, because we cannot sign today and discuss it ma tomorrow.
The “Association should be implemented after signing the agreement, but details should be discussed as part of negotiating the agreement, because we cannot sign today and discuss it mas tomorrow. So we have to discuss it and then implement it. And that will happen during negotiations. Partners confirmed that partners have agreed and that will be discussed”, he said.
