He in a virtual discussion with various penalists said such agreements with many issues inside him have never seen in his political career.
The former prime minister, during online discussion, also spoke of political events that could take place in the coming weeks as far as special, US elections and the baptism to suspend membership in international organisations.
Opposition leader speaking of the September 4th agreement in Washington said that this agreement was not meant to be implemented at the time.
“Tipar predominantly of the context of these agreements in Washington are US presidential elections, both of those unilateral commitments signed by the Kosovo prime minister, who had only 59 votes not 61, and Serbia's authoritarian president, have little to do with Albanians in Kosovo and Serbs in Serbia as much as they have to do with Albanians in Michigan and Serbs in Ohio. And so, it's very related to internal issues and the US election campaign, to be honest, I've never seen an agreement with so many issues on it, it seems as though during the selection of text halfway, the one who wrote it asked everyone in the room to mention what they forgot. And then they decided all those things, like 5G, Hezbollah, Serbian Orthodox churches, the transfer of embassies from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Israel's recognition of the Republic of Kosovo, missing persons, displaced persons and refugees, highways, railways, Lake Weyman who recently proposed to change the name to Trump, suspension of international membership and membership in international organisations from Kosovo, recognition of diplomas which has already been signed in Brussels, the so-called mini-Bregen, American Development Bank in Belgrade, etc. So all these things in a text that's just a little over 500 words, I've never seen anything like that in my political experience and in what I read in any document. So it's my impression that this agreement wasn't meant to be implemented, and I think it's very important to notice that it wasn't meant to be implemented”, he said.
In addition, Kurti stressed that one-year rhetoric for failing to apply to international organisations hurts the state of Kosovo.
The “oratorium that equated Serbia's campaign for recognising Kosovo's independence with Kosovo's membership applications in the international organisation is very harmful. This prevents our sovereignty and subjectivity and the best way to gain collective recognition is by getting membership in international organisations, because there we are at the International Arena, the International Forum, where we can engage in multilateral institutions and take steps forward. And they are not alone The EU, the UN and NATO, we know there are so many other international organisations that we are now deprived of even trying to enter, as in the Council of Europe, U n NESTO, World Health Organisation Interpol, European Court of Human Rights, Adriatic Charter, etc. So I think one-year-old mortorium is harmful to Kosovo and problematic in its character”, Kurti said.
Kurti also talked about political developments that could take place in Kosovo due to possible Special Court charges against President Hashim Thaci and PDK President Kadri Veselini, while as the second important date he considers the US presidential election in November.
We are waiting patiently in the coming weeks let's say 2-3 weeks to make these decisions. This was to explain the political context in Kosovo, given that there are two important dates in the near future -- the first on October 24th -- when the Specialised Chambers are supposed to come up with a decision on the indictment proclaimed by the Special Prosecutor in the case of 10 former KLA members and until Saturday, I think we should get some answers from the judge of the preliminary procedure if he is to confirm the proposed indictment, in part confirm it or review it all together again. And the next day, which is no less important for Kosovo, is the US elections on November 3rd. Despite the fact that we consider that we are still young and no one knows what the future holds, these are considered to be the most important elections for us during our lifetime”, he said.
Kurti during this virtual conversation criticised Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti for his lack of legitimacy.
