Kosovo engages in Interpol action where 166 persons were arrested

Interpol and Europol have conducted an action where 166 people have been arrested. The event has been held in Southeast Europe against illegal migration of firearms and drug trafficking. The event has been held in Southeast Europe against illegal migration of firearms and drug trafficking.
The operation was held from 24 September to 27 September, co-ordinated by the European multidisciplinary platform against criminal threats (EMPACT) and led by Spain's Guardia Civil, brought 33 states together in combating crime.
Some 9,000 law enforcement officers, including police officers, were involved in the action.
Over 390 thousand individuals and over 44,000 vehicles have been checked at border crossings.
The states that contributed to this action were: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, Montenegro, the Netherlands, northern Macedonia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Britain, Ukraine and the US.
INTERPOL reports that Kosovo was involved as the third party.
