The number of active cases in Italy is about 117 thousand, with the number of new cases marking the increase as of 12 October.
With 10,925 new Corleone cases, Italy reported its highest daily number since the beginning of the pandemic explosion there, according to the Health Ministry.
The ministry said the total number of people affected by COVID-19 since 21 February is 402,536.
The number of active cases was 116.935, the ministry said, adding that the number of patients under intensive care reached 705, Anadolu wrote.
A total of 47 people have lost their lives from COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, increasing the number of deaths across the country to 36,474.
About 249,127 people have recovered so far, with 1,255 additional during the past day.
The rise in the number of cases of coronary in Italy since 12 October has prompted the government to discuss new measures in the country.
Under pressure from regional governors, the government led by Prime Minister Giusppe Ctete is thinking of new measures to try to contain the second wave of infection. New restrictions could include a late-night curfew, such as those presented by other European countries.
