Ismet Beqiri ready to run for Pristina chairman

Commenting on the current chairman's jobs or failures, Shpend Ahmeti, Beqiri has said that Pristina citizens will no longer be mistaken, alluding to Ahmeti's seven-year failures.

The Pristina mayor must focus exclusively on his work, not on other jobs. Add to that even when that mayor changes the” parties, Beqiri has said further.

Asked whether he will be the LDK's candidate for Pristina chairman in next October elections, Beqiri does not hide his desire to run again.

“E I have a weak spot in Pristina, because here we live. Everyone should have this weak point of Pristina. I am available to compete again, but that depends on the party, from Pristina branches”, Beqiri said in RTK.

There's a code. I was ready in 2017. I'm available to the party. I haven't been loted, nor I've been out for 30 years in LDK. The LDK branch on the Trima Hill has always won the <x1 elections, he added.

Asked whether he is declaring his candidacy as the LDK candidate for Pristina, Beqiri has not decidently said that, but has hinted that he will insist until the end to receive the party's nomination.

That means I'm saying today that it must happen. But the LDK has to credit the branch. The branches will take up this matter, and then headship on the will of the branch will decide. We had won the election in 2017 if I were a candidate. Even in those elections, we're fully engaged, but fortunately we've lost them. I am available, I have my will, my experience and all, and I think I can stand up to this job, this task”, said Ismet Beqiri, currently LDK deputy.
