It is in Pristina's second term of leadership. But, Shpend Ahmeti says he has not decided yet whether he will run for president in next year's local elections.
Two mandates at the head of the capital have been deemed sufficient, meaning that he is likely to enter the race again, reports 038 at KTV.
Even Ismet Beqiri has twice led Pristina in the past. This time, Beqiri has indicated that he will be the LDK's candidate for chairmanship in the upcoming elections.
Arba Abrashi's Lumir Abdixhiku has been rumoured in public as an opportunity for one of them to be nominated as LDK candidate.
But Beqiri says there may be someone else in the race for mayor.
Neither Obadiah nor Abrashi have been able to declare themselves on this issue.
On the other side, The PDK, which has never managed to run the municipality, says that although its candidate for chairman has not yet been appointed, it will most likely be Ismaili Bridge.
About the likelihood that the PDK will win the election, Retkocer shows reserved, but says Pristina needs his party leadership.
The possibility of serial running as if in 2017 it did not deny Selim Pacolli.
In the 2017 elections, Shpend Ahmeti then part of Vetevendosje Movement had won the race in the run-off with 42,262 votes -- 365 votes more than his counter-Candidate from LDK, Arban Abashi.
New local elections are expected to be held in autumn 2020.
