In the past 24 hours, Iran has registered 3.825 new infections or a new case every 23 seconds, according to data from the Health Ministry on Thursday.
In the same period, Iran recorded 211 Corleone-related deaths, meaning that one person dies every seven minutes.
Due to rapid growth, the total number of deaths increased to 26,380 victims, with more than 460,000 infected.
Health experts have called for immediate quarantine in the country to limit the spread of the infection, which President Hassan Rouhan opposes due to the country's economic crisis.
