IPK arrests three body injury suspects, suspended police official

Kosovo Police Inspectorate (IPK) has arrested three suspects today, a police official, a correctional service official and a citizen, on suspicion that the same have committed minor bodily injury in co-ordination. Investigators had accepted information on this case through a complaint addressed at the Police Inspectorate over the suspicion that the three suspects committed slight bodily injury by referring to an incident on October 5, 2020, on the “Rrustem Statovci” in Pristina.
Cases were also opened in the Kosovo Police, which then based on IPK legal authorizations had been handed over to IPK investigators.
Shortly after receiving this information, IPK investigators have responded to the case by taking the necessary investigative actions.
Following these investigative actions, the competent prosecutor was consulted, and the three suspects in this case at the prosecutor's decision were assigned the detention measure for 48 hours.
Regarding the same case, as part of administrative and investigative procedures, the police official has been suspended.
IPK investigators in full co-ordination with the Prosecution will continue to take further investigative action towards full enlightenment of all the circumstances related to the case.
