Inspection interrupts construction work of a bridge over the Iber River

Communist inspectors, along with officials from the Cadastrian Directorate, and in co-operation with the police have taken action to stop the construction of the bridge over the Iber River at the site called “The Duda Rock”, which is located in the middle of three South Mitrovica, Northern and Zveqan municipalities.

According to the municipal communiqué, this end of the work has been done since the operator has not asked permission from our municipality for the construction of that bridge, and he will not continue the work on that part until the equipment with relevant documentations from the relevant Directorate, and submit the project which he expects to realise in that country.

The director of the Inscition, Fidan Ademi, participated in the action, who said that in no case would construction be allowed without construction permits and urged citizens to respect the laws and regulations in force for construction of various objects.

On this occasion, the mayor of the municipality, Agim Bahtiri, has reacted as the Northern Community has not asked permission from our institutions to equip the operator with permission, but has allowed him to continue building the bridge without permission from municipal bodies.

At the same time, he has asked the Northern Community to examine the request for permission to fix the Iber River bed in that section, as it is the interest of all our citizens, and for whom all necessary documentation has been sent, but who still cannot allow the work to develop in that section.
