For this shift from one scenario to another, experts and parents say it has an impact on students, as well as difficulties on the learning process. Meanwhile, school leaders say this crossing also has its challenges.
In many Kosovo schools, learning has occasionally been interrupted, depending on the cases they had with Covid-19. Some of them have gone to online school and then returned to school. For this transition from one scenario to another, the connoisseur of education issues, Youth Qehaja, told Radio Kosovo that it has influenced children as well as the quality of teaching.
Meanwhile, the “Faik Conica” School in Pristina is currently holding combined teaching.
The school's principal, Jehona Oruci, told Radio Kosovo that a group of students is in class, while the other group attends instruction in virtual form. She stressed that at first, this kind of process has had its challenges.
Parents also point out that in this situation of pandemic, difficulties in the learning process are very pronounced. Rezarta Sefedini, whose daughter is in fourth grade, says that changing from school to online learning and returning to school has caused difficulties for her child.
School teacher “Gjergj Fista”, in Pristina, Hope Latifi, says this learning process is being accompanied by difficulties for both students and teachers.
Meanwhile, cases of Coddy-19 have also begun to grow in schools. The education ministry has stressed that Kosovo needs to keep schools open, as no other scenario replaces participation in school. But she has stressed that she is prepared for other scenarios, if schools are closed.
Therefore, the Ministry of Education has called on students, parents, teachers, and school staff to respect measures against pandemic.
