Health Minister Amend Zemaj has reacted after increasing cases with COVID-19 in the last two days. He said it's time to act urgently to prevent the deterioration of the situation.
Through a post in his Facebook account, Zemaj has said that increasing the number of cases comes from public institutions.
According to him, the rise in cases has also affected Kosovo's removal from the list of high-risk countries and the mass arrival of fellow countrymen these days in Kosovo, from European countries that are also marking the high rise of cases with Covid-19.
“According to our data, the increase in the number of cases comes from public institutions, which is a very bad indicator, and it says that what has been said at the last meeting of the Committee that there is no non-dipilin in the state administration in terms of implementing the measures, is emerging to be true, without forgetting other institutions and apart from the gastronomy sector, which pressures every day, was given more time to exercise the event for an extra hour, while on the other side the 11x> measures were not implemented, Zemaj wrote.
Zemaj has demanded that Kosovo Police and all indiscriminately inspectorates, along with municipalities, act urgently in preventing the situation from worsening.
It has also called for urgent end to seminars, workshops, and other forms of organization where there are collections of people, as well as all sorts of totally unnecessary activities such as various promotions, public gatherings, and other activities that can be avoided and are not necessarily to be kept with the presence of the collection of people.
“Inspections must continue at increased pace, fines given according to the Law for Combating the David-19 pandemic and not have any kind of slip from the law, but to be implemented precisely”, Zemaj wrote.
