Commission Chairman Albena Resishaj is interested in managing pandemic, as well as in whether Kosovo is prepared to face pandemic in the fall.
Minister Zemaj, in his address, has said the measures taken by July 28th the situation has begun to improve. He has mentioned that the numbers have dropped and that this is giving them the opportunity to prepare for the second wave.
Despite that, according to him, the situation is still delicate and, as he put it, <x0Hacoma must be cosescent in terms of increasing hospital capacities for handling new cases”.
Zemaj has also talked about increasing human capacities, saying they have engaged 200 health professionals.
Health Minister Amend Zemaj said that in terms of the number of tests for coronarys, they have extended them to the private sector as well and that they also have in the procedures the purchase of 7 equipment for testing for Covid-19.
He said they would be placed in public health institutions.
For seasonal flu vaccines, Zemaj has said they have completed procurement procedures in co-operation with U NICEF's for about 160,000 vaccines and will develop procedures to secure about 200 thousand more vaccines.
While for vaccines against Avid-19 has said they are working to secure them for at least 70 percent of the endangered population.
At this stage what we need is the raising of the population's awareness of the virus, both for endangered groups and skeptics who say the virus does not exist”, he said.
