He has declared that there is nothing concrete about the possibility that this party will join the current ruling coalition.
In this interview given the newspaper “The new age”, Hamza, has said that the PDK is the government's principled opposition, not the opposition of the state of Kosovo.
“We've declared our role in the opposition, we don't have anything concrete in this direction. Without something concrete, we continue to be opposition parties and play the role that belongs to us. So we'll be strong opposition where we need to be. But we are not the opposition where the interest of the country and the citizens of Kosovo is. So we're the opposition, but our positions are principled”, Hamza said.
He has indicated that the issue of introducing the PDK into government has never been discussed in party structures so far. The “in the official governing structures of the PDK has never been discussed, because we have never had anything concrete to talk about. So, in the PDK leadership and the PDK parliamentary group, this issue has not been discussed”, it has indicated.
Parliamentary Group Chief The PDK has criticised the former Kurti government and now the government of Hoti for the damages it has brought to the country. Hamza has said these governments have not been brought to the level of responsibility with the challenges Kosovo has faced during this time.
The parties that won the elections last year have spoken with pomp, calling themselves a coalition of hope, and today they see it was not. Actually, actions made by coalition partners have damaged the country. So, they've damaged the interests of the country, mainly in the face of pandemic and in the health aspect of”, it is expressed.
Hamza has criticised the government's project for economic recovery, saying the PDK initiative is better.
“The PDK has had legal initiatives for this issue in the Kosovo Assembly since the beginning of April, which are more incompatible than other initiatives, which through administrative and bureaucratic barriers have been delayed so far and have not been put into procedure in the Assembly. Now in some sessions are in order of the day, where the discussions are concluded, but really there is no political will from other political parties to support the legal initiatives which the Democratic Party of Kosovo has proposed for the Democratic Party of Kosovo”, Hamza has said.
