In addition to the fatal cases, 14.714 new infections were recorded during this period, and the overall number of the affected went to 418,005.
By contrast, the German government has already removed border controls with European Union member states and several other countries.
Although it is among the European states with the highest number of infected persons, Germany has recorded far fewer victims than Great Britain, France, Italy and Spain.
