The figures released Wednesday by the Robert Koch Institute have shown that 5,132 new cases have been recorded with this virus, which represents growth for more than 1,000 infected people, compared to 4,122, on Tuesday.
A total of 334,585 of the infected has registered in this country since the pandemic broke out, until 9,677 patients died as a result.
A week ago, health authorities reported 2,828 coronary cases at the Robert Koch Institute.
The number of infected has now been returned to mid-April levels, but not to those of the pandemic peaks that were marked in March and early April, when German authorities have recorded more than 6,000 cases per day.
However, more tests are now being conducted compared to the previous months, so they're also getting more infected.
