The “Wieddemark” in Soegel in northern Germany, which is owned by giant Toennies, must stop slaughtering animals from Friday, complete the package until Sunday and then close. Initially it should be closed in 22 days, regional Emsland authorities have said. 112 out of 2000 and more workers have tested positive by coronarys.
Toennis has said he has taken steps to prevent new infections in recent days in co-ordination with Emsland authorities and has praised the command to close this meat factory like “proportional”. He said he'd follow the legal ways.
The spread of the coronary at several slaughterhouses in Germany has forced the meat industry in this country to review the labor system.
Toennie's meat factory in Rheda-Wedenbrück had been closed for a month in June after about 1,500 workers had resulted positive with coronarys.
