About two thousand football and ice hockey fans have protested measures imposed by authorities in Prague to curb the cornavirus.

Organisers ended the protest in an hour but then the clashes occurred.
Police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse protesters who threw fireworks and other objects towards police. According to the Czech News Agency, some people were hurt during these clashes, including police officials who later received medical assistance.
According to police, some of the protesters were confiscated from rubber sticks and firearms during the raids the authorities conducted.

Sunday's protest in Prague was initiated by the Banik Ostrave football club, which claims that restrictions imposed by the government are meaningless and are due to the state's failure to prepare for the second wave of coronary.
Czech Interior Minister Jan Hamask said protest organisers would not escape justice, as they had not taken appropriate measures to respect government decisions in terms of safeguards against COVID-19, which causes the new choreography.
Through a video message posted on social networks, Czech Prime Minister Adrey Babes urged citizens to respect measures imposed by the government to fight the virus and ask citizens to stay in their homes if possible.
On Monday, the Czech government banned all sporting events for a two-week period, except for international-type sports events.
The Czech Republic has registered high numbers of new cases in recent weeks.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the Czech Republic has recorded almost 169,000 cases of chronavirus and over 1,350 victims.
