US Energy Department High Delegation Visits KEK

Delegation 15 members led by Mr. Matthew Zais, Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Department of Energy, has been received and accompanied by Mr. Luigi Imer, U.d. Executive chief chief, along with the Kosovo Energy Corporation management (KEK).

Imer briefed the delegation about the processes KEK is going through, activities, investments and achieved operational and environmental results despite the challenges of the age of thermal power plants. During a visit to Thermocentrals “Kosovo A” and “Kosovo B” the delegation was informed of the jobs and activities that are under way, results which have been achieved in the establishment of credibility and stability of energy production, as well as environmental improvements made with the country's energy security and environmental protection as the main objectives.
