According to the Central Election Commission (KQZ), 25 political subjects were involved in this election race, out of them 20 political parties, 4 coalitions and an independent candidate, until the right votes had 1,937,869 registered voters on the election list.
The election process throughout Kosovo's territory was observed by about 50,000 engaged observers and commissionors, including by the European Union.
In this election, Albin Kurti's Vetevendosje Movement won, but in the inability to form the government alone, it was forced to enter into coalition with Isa Mustaf's Democratic League of Kosovo.
Kurti government did not last more than 50 days, after being dismissed with no-confidence motion, following internal clashes due to Interior Minister Agim Veliu's dismissal in a time of pandemic.
Vetevendosje movement called for new elections, but this was rejected by some of the other parties, which formed the new government led by Avdullah Hoti of the LDK, part of which are AAK, NISMA.
Otherwise, these were the fourth early parliamentary elections, totaling seven held in the country.
