Meanwhile Prime Minister Edi Rama during a conference with Krac said signing this agreement would significantly affect foreign direct investment in Albania.
According to Rama, exports will be increased, while due to this agreement the construction of the Skavica hydropower plant could also be realised.
“will significantly influence the opening of a new chapter for investments not only American but generally foreign in Albania. It will increase Albanian exports and embark on the final realisation road that is the construction of Skavica, Skavica's HEC, which turns Albania from a rich country to energy resources, but dependent on weather-resistant and import to a sovereign country in terms of energy production”, Rama said.
Rama said the money entering the Albanian economy from friendly countries will have no obstacles. He also reaffirmed Albania's stance on its role in clean ways of 5G technology.
For us money that comes to invest in Albania is not a money that comes from a friend country that comes from a country that does not enter our best friends. We need to do our next effort to keep money from friendly countries free of obstacles and to translate into economic growth, employment, and mutual benefits.
I want to go back to the kind letter I received from President Trump and I want to reconfirm what I've said repeatedly that Albania sees its role in the region not only as a constructive role in building peace and empowering dialogue, but as a pro-active role for the clean ways of 5G technology. In my view the clear 5G streets are the clear ways for our children, our children's children, and the children's children. In this regard we are absolutely happy that we are not alone and that we are on the side of those who are our most loyal and reliable friends and who do not have any need for us to force them to be our friends, but they see in us what we see in ta”, Rama said.
The Undersecretary of State thanked Prime Minister Rama for this fact and said he is a leader.
If President Trump said your support for telecommunications is a model. Albania is a clean-road country. We can't thank you enough. Thank you for your leadership on the critical 5G issue and for the government's commitment to the clean road”, Krach said.
