US President Donald Trump has said today he is currently immune to COVID-19, a day after his doctor issued a brief letter saying he was no longer dangerous to the environment and could not transmit the virus.
It looks like I'm immune, I don't know, I think for a long time, maybe for a shorter time and maybe for the rest of my life. Nobody knows for sure, but I'm immune”, he told Fox News.
Regarding immunity from COVID-19, there are still many unknowns: it is not known exactly how much protection antibodies are provided or how long it can prolong immunity.
Trump plans to return to the race for president, at an accelerated pace: he travels to Florida on Monday, to Pennsylvania on Tuesday and to Iowa on Wednesday.
