A senior delegation from the US Department of Energy visited the Kosovo Energy Corporation.
In the communiqué issued by the KEK, the 15-member delegation led by Matthew Zais, Deputy Assistant Secretary-in-chief of the Department of Energy, is reportedly hosted and accompanied by Luigj Imer, U.d. Executive chief chief, along with the Kosovo Energy Corporation management (KEK).
Imer briefed the delegation about the processes KEK is going through, activities, investments and achieved operational and environmental results despite the challenges of the age of thermal power plants. During a visit to Thermocentrals “Kosovo A” and “Kosovo B” the delegation was informed of the jobs and activities that are under way, results which have been achieved in the establishment of credibility and stability of energy production, as well as environmental improvements made with the country's energy security and environmental protection as the main objectives.
