The murders occurred around 9 am this morning within the Notre-Dame Basilica in downtown, reports The Guardian, sent to Periscope.

There have been unconfirmed reports by French media that at least one of the victims was killed with beheadings.

Police described the murder scene as <x0vision horror”.

The attacker was shot and wounded by the police and then taken to the hospital.

Nice Chairman Christian Estros said the attacker had repeated “Allahi Akbar” several times while being arrested and handcuffed by police.

He said a woman's head was cut off but didn't give any details about the other two who were killed.

Estros said: “We have two people killed inside the church... and a third person who was in a church-front bar where he escaped. Enough is enough... we must remove Islam-fascism from our territory. ”

This attack comes just two weeks after a history teacher named Samuel Payy had been beheaded after appearing caricatures to the prophet Muhammad of his class. /Periscope
