Analysts attribute the weakness to concern over a Turkish inflation .7 percent last month and the central bank's refusal to increase the key interest rate, writes the BBC, translates Periscope.
An increase in the tide would lower inflation and encourage investors to buy the lira.
Erdogan's aggressive campaigns in Libya, Syria, around Cyprus and the Caucasus have upset investors, market analysts have said.
