From the beginning of the pandemic to today in corrective institutions, there has been no chance of death as a consequence of the 19.
Currently, the number of positive cases in Kosovo prisons is nine, seven of them have recovered until two more cases are active.
The two prisoners who are affected by Ovid 19 are being treated in the quarantines of the correctional centers.
This data has been released by the Kosovo Correcting Service for News.net.
“From the beginning of the pandemic to the present nine prisoners are affected by Covid 19, of them 7 are healed, while currently only 2 prisoners are active with Covid 19 and the same are being treated in the quarantines of the correctional centres”, said the SKK response.
Meanwhile, the Kosovo Correcting Service on August 18th had made a decision to allow only one member of the family to visit each prisoner. However, because of the rise in new coronary cases in the country, on October 19th, the SKK decided to cut off all visits from family members and others to prisoners.
“As alternative to all corrective institutions will allow frequent calls and virtual communication system via SCYEP under institutional procedures. Also, due to the temporary ban on visits, cleaning clothes for prisoners will be organised in the” institutions, said in announcement”, the SKK reported.
Otherwise, the number of positive cases with Ovid 19 has increased markedly in recent weeks in Kosovo. In the last 24 hours alone, 168 new cases have been reported with Avid-19, until two patients have lost their battle with David-19.
As of March 13th, when the first cases were reported with Covid-19, in our country there are 17 thousand and 943 positive cases with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
