The Central Election Commission has decided that for local elections in Podujevo, the campaign will last only five days, from 23 October to 27 October. With nine votes for and two against it has been voted for a five-day campaign.
The mayoral elections will be held on November 29th.
The same day, it will also be voted for chairman of the Northern Mitrovica municipality. But unlike Podujevo, for this municipality earlier, it is scheduled for the election campaign to last two weeks, 12-27 October.
VV members opposed the decision to cut the campaign in five days.
According to CEC Chairman Valdete Daka, five days of campaigning for Podujevo, must serve young voters, those who have turned 18 years after March 15th 2020.
