The scandal occurred on Wednesday until photographs of Czech Health Minister Roman Prymula were published, leaving the restaurant and entering a car while not wearing a mask, a violation of the rules, which require people to wear masks and close restaurants.
Prymula had said he had been on a business meeting and that he was held in a closed restaurant space. He said he had the mask on as soon as he got in the car.
Prymula had said he would resign if it was the citizens' wish, before the prime minister issued a statement.
